RankedCup needs no account and uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Here is everything the site stores, why and for how long.
Who is responsible
Data controller: Nerius Rutkauskas, owner of RankedCup (rankedcup.com). Write to info@rankedcup.com with any question about your data, or to see, correct or delete it.
Visiting the site
Our host Vercel processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks; some requests may get a short-lived security cookie that shows you are not a bot. Visitor statistics (Vercel Web Analytics) count page views without cookies and without identifying you.
Kept only in your browser
Your language, My teams, the team you follow in a live tournament and an organizer's API key are kept in your browser's storage and are not sent to us. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes them.
Match reminders
If you turn reminders on, we store your browser's push address with the teams you chose, your language and time zone, to remind you before their matches. Reminders are delivered by your browser's push service (Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft). Turning a team's bell off removes the team; to delete the push address too, write to us.
Crest removal requests
The form stores the club, your role and, if you give them, your email and message, so we can handle the request and reply. To stop abuse we also keep a one-way code made from your IP address, not the address itself.
Organizer accounts
If you create an organizer account, we keep your name, your email and your password only as a one-way scrambled code - never the password itself. Signing in sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days; with each session we keep your IP address and browser type, to keep your account safe and to stop password guessing. The tournaments and teams you create are kept with your account (who sees them: below). You can delete your account and everything in it yourself in the organizer panel, or write to info@rankedcup.com.
Signing in with Google or Apple
You can sign in with Google or Apple instead of a password. They then give us your name, your email (Apple can give a private forwarding address instead) and whether it is confirmed - never your password. We do not keep your profile photo or the sign-in tokens they send, and ask for no other data. Google or Apple sees that you signed in to RankedCup. Deleting your account removes the link with them as well.
Publishing tournaments
A tournament you create waits for RankedCup's check and is public only once RankedCup approves it. Then its name, dates, place, the organizer name you entered and its teams are on the site for everyone; your account's name and email never are. RankedCup's team can see, change and remove the tournaments organizers create. When we approve your tournament, ask for changes or remove it, we tell you in the organizer panel and, if your email is confirmed, by email (sent by Resend). To confirm an email we send one link to it.
RankedCup Academy
Coaches use RankedCup Academy to run a team: they invite players and other coaches by email or a link, and members sign in with a RankedCup account (above). For each team we keep the members' roles; a player's first and last name, shirt number and position; the schedule the coaches add; each player's answers to the short questionnaires - after a training (energy, mood, how hard it was, tiredness, thinking, fun, learning), before a match (sleep, energy, how the body feels, nerves, mood, will to play, confidence) and, when the coach asks, after a match (how hard it was, tiredness, how they and the team played, fun, energy) - each with an optional message to the coach; the football IQ quiz answers and scores; an invited email address until the invite is used or expires (14 days); and the language you read the Academy in, so its messages come in it. If you turn its notifications on, your browser's push address is kept with your account. Only the team's coaches see every player's answers and results; a player sees only their own; the team sees its roster (names, numbers, positions) and its schedule. The academy is responsible for its players' data: a coach who creates a team confirms that the academy has the consent of the parents or guardians of its players under 14, and RankedCup keeps the data for the academy and uses it for nothing else. A member's data in a team is deleted when they leave or are removed, a team's 24 hours after its head coach deletes it (until then the head coach can restore it), an account's when the account is deleted. To see or delete data, ask your academy or write to info@rankedcup.com.
Parents in the Academy
A parent or guardian can join a team with its player link: we keep their first and last name and which players they say are their children, and the team's coaches see that, with the parent's email address, until they confirm or reject it. A confirmed parent sees the group's training times, their own child's weekly training load and the matches and events their child is in; they do not see the child's answers one by one, the roster or other players' data. When a coach removes a player from the team, the player's parents are removed with them (a parent with no other child left in the team), and a parent's data goes when they leave or the link is rejected.
Contact form and email
The contact form sends us your name (if you give it), your email, the topic and your message, so we can answer; we keep them for a year. Form messages are delivered by the email service Resend, and all mail to info@rankedcup.com is forwarded by Cloudflare to our Gmail mailbox (Google). To stop abuse we also keep a one-way code made from your IP address.
Error reports
When a page fails in your browser, it sends us the page address, the error and your browser type so we can fix it. Error reports are deleted after 30 days.
YouTube
Video thumbnails on tournament pages load from YouTube, and video links open on YouTube, which has its own privacy policy.
Tournament data
Results, team names and tournament details come from public tournament pages. We rate teams, not children: no player names, photos or birth dates. To correct or remove something, write to info@rankedcup.com.
Where the data is kept
The site runs on Vercel's servers in Frankfurt, Germany, and the database on our own server at Hetzner in Germany. Vercel Inc. is a US company, so visit data may also be processed outside the EU under its data protection terms. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
Legal basis and your rights
We use this data to run and protect the site and fix errors (legitimate interest), to handle your requests, and for reminders with your consent, which you withdraw by turning them off. You may see, correct or delete your data and object to its use: write to info@rankedcup.com. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
When the site starts collecting anything new, this page is updated first.
